About Rachel

I received a Master’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and began my mental health career working in a school-based partial program designed for elementary-aged students. I’m a licensed social worker specializing in women’s issues as well as trauma-informed care. As a therapist, I use a person-centered approach to encouraging change in a client’s life. I am experienced in trauma-informed care and has experience working with perinatal populations as well as those experiencing traumatic loss.
In an effort to better serve my clients who have been affected by trauma, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training. EMDR therapists are specially trained to provide a type of care that helps those who have experienced trauma heal more fully from the experience.
In addition, I has extensive experience working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and grief. I also work with issues specific to women such as pregnancy and infant loss, infertility, and relationship concerns
